Saturday, June 23, 2012 was the D-day: the official FreeBike Cycling Team presentation, for season 2012. Almost seventy riders attended the shooting session for the Official Team's picture, set in front of the parish curch in Vigliano Biellese (BI), Italy. A respectable red, white and black bunch, surrounded by a couple of top level BMC bikes. After the photo a good ride made the afternoon really fine, also thanks to the kind presence of "El Diablo" Claudio Chiappucci, who not only posed for the shots, but he rode with the whole group, too. This way a long snake has coloured the province roads of Biella, including Mongrando, Pollone and Sordevolo, collecting applause and greetings from the people who were along the tour. In order to better end up this terrific afternoon, a meeting was scheduled for 6:00pm at FreeBike Store, where a tapster of crafted beer and an endless table of handmade snacks gladdened the time to say goodbye.
Satisfied the team's leaders: the president, Corrado Masserano, was honoured by the warm response from all members, he said, while the founder, Luigi Ferdusi, seemed proud, almost touched, in front of the crackling sound of so many voices gathered together. The secret to collect so many people, and reach and exceed the number of 120 members, is to take with a shining smile all the activities of the team.
